40 YEARS OF CONSERVATISM It's a showdown between the good – authentic conservatives, the bad – Democrats, and the RINOs – a faux conservative GOP. 40 years ago Reagan stated that libertarianism (Classical Liberalism) was the heart of conservatism. 20 years later, Newt Gingrich led a conservative GOP to the first legislative majority in over 60 years and forced a popular, liberal Democrat POTUS to the right. 20 years after that conservative revolution, Rove and his 2012 RINOs snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. The modern conservative movement was built by Reagan, fulfilled by Gingrich and destroyed by Rove, Bush, Boehner and the RINOs. What will the next 20 years reveal? There are some new wacko birds on the block, principally Sen. Rand Paul and the conservatives in the Senate and the House who are standing for liberty against the Democrat tyranny and the RINO ‘controlled opposition.' Tyranny is assured UNLESS liberty-loving people of good conscience can set aside their differences and band together against the rising tide of collectivism, statism and oligarchy. If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberals -- if we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories.
